Lights, Camera… BABY!

In life some people are blessed with the ability to look fantastic in any photo no matter how ugly they look in real life, others are cursed with the reverse and unfortunately I fall into that category. No matter how hard I try to look vaguely normal in a photo the result is usually something that wouldn’t be out of place in the Leatherface [Texas Chainsaw Massacre] family photo album.

So when StageOne Photography kindly offered us a free photoshoot for our 9 month old son I was curious as to whether he would inherit my curse. As the photos were going to be used in their portfolio it was decided it was best for everyone if I didn’t participate. OK the real reason was that I was at work.

The feedback on the day was that my son was a natural and my Wife and I couldn’t have been happier with the result of the photos – they look amazing. Although, I am biased as even if my son was Quasimodo I would have thought them to be beautiful.

Tom at StageOne Photography who took the photos has an incredible talent for taking outstandingly beautiful photos. You can see by the portfolio on their website www.stageone-photography.co.uk that they have an enviable skill of capturing life and transforming it into personalised works or art. It’s such a shame that I can’t hire Tom as a live in photographer.

All the pictures were taken at the Virginia Water Lake in Surrey, if you have never been it’s a lovely day out but take your walking shoes! We often go for a walk round the lake after overloading on a Sunday Roast as it helps me feel better about the near whole chicken and mountain of roast potatoes that I would have devoured.

The photo above is one of my favourites as my son looks so grown up and it was a risky shot as he had only just learnt how to support himself standing up the day before. I don’t want to ruin the magic of the photo but my Wife is just out of shot ready to pounce!

StageOne Photography has a great portfolio and offer a wide range of services be it a family photo shoot, Portraits or Wedding Ceremonies. If you like the style of their photos and want to know more about their pricing then please feel free to contact them on stageonephotography@hotmail.co.uk or visit the Drop Us A Line section on their website.
